Prepare a 5000 × 5400 canvas without confusing size with quality
Prepare the source first
Use a JPEG, PNG or WebP you are entitled to process. If the artwork needs transparency, make sure the source already contains it. An opaque white rectangle stays white when placed on a transparent canvas; this tool does not perform background removal.
Choose exact outer dimensions
The default width is 5000 and the default height is 5400 pixels. The outer PNG will use those dimensions. Choose the safe margin according to the destination’s requirements. A 5% margin leaves a 4500 × 4860 inner rectangle; the artwork is fitted proportionally inside it.
Follow a worked fit
For a 2000 × 1000 source, width is the controlling edge. The design is scaled to 4500 × 2250, then centered at x = 250 and y = 1575. The rest of the canvas is transparent. This explains placement; enlarging the source does not create original fine detail that was absent.
Inspect the downloaded PNG
Check both the outer dimensions and the edges of the visible artwork. View the transparency against light and dark backgrounds. Keep a source master rather than repeatedly resizing downloaded copies. A file may be large in pixels but still contain soft lettering or an embedded opaque background.
Confirm the print requirement
5000 × 5400 pixels at an intended 300 PPI represents about 16.67 × 18 inches. The browser export does not promise a custom DPI metadata tag. Confirm the upload service’s exact dimensions, print area and accepted formats, then make the final decision from the actual saved file.
Try and verify the workflow
Choose 5000 × 5400, keep a 5% safe margin and fit your artwork inside it. The exported PNG has the requested outer dimensions; its print quality still depends on the source.
