MOBILE PRINT WORKFLOW
Prepare a large print canvas without losing your master
Use a smaller test export, inspect the fit and then prepare the full canvas with clear checkpoints.
A 5000 by 5400 transparent canvas contains 27 million pixels. Preparing it on a phone is a memory-intensive operation even when the source PNG has a modest file size. A staged workflow helps you inspect the composition before asking the browser to create the final large output.
Test the proportions with a smaller canvas
For a full 5000 by 5400 canvas, a 1000 by 1080 test canvas keeps the same outer proportions. Use the same margin percentage and the same prepared source. Check centering, transparent space and whether important details are inside the intended area. The test is useful for composition, although it cannot prove that tiny details will look sharp in the full-size print.
Budget for more than the saved file size
A single uncompressed RGBA buffer at 5000 by 5400 requires about 108 million bytes. The decoded source, drawing surface and encoding work can add more. RSPrintCanvas restricts the output to 32 million pixels and 8192 pixels per edge, but a phone can run short of memory below those limits. Work on one design at a time and close unnecessary tabs.
Return to the source for the full export
Once the test fit is correct, choose the original prepared artwork again and enter the full dimensions. Do not enlarge the small test download to create the final file. That would use a reduced derivative instead of the stronger source. Keep the selected margin recorded so that the larger export repeats the intended fit rather than introducing a new composition.
Verify the final download before closing the tab
Open the saved PNG in the file manager or an image editor, check the dimensions and inspect transparency. If export fails, reduce the request or use a device with more working memory; keep the source untouched. A successful canvas export still needs a detail check and the receiving provider requirements. The tool centers and resamples artwork but does not repair low-resolution detail or write guaranteed custom print metadata.
